Overlaying the Longleaf Trace is our priority in maintaining the trail in a manner that meets our expectations. Accomplishing this goal is challenging, as our funding is limited, your support is needed. The Longleaf Trace, opened for public use in the year 2000, as Mississippi's first rails to trails conversion project. Since its opening the trace has far exceed its original projected use and was honored by being named as a "Rails to Trails Conversion Hall Of Fame Project (Top 25)."  Maintaining the high standards of a well maintained trail with enhanced amenities will always be our goal. It is important to us to keep the trace a place local users, as well as visitors from out of the area, keep wanting to visit.  Donations are tax deductible and a receipt will be mailed to you for your records.
