It was a great day for the Run for
the Roses 5K in Prentiss! And, many Pine Belt Pacers posted very
good performances. The temperature and humidity were fairly low, but
the men's competition was very hot.
The overall male winner was Paul
(Kenyan from USM) with a time in the 15s, followed by Chuck
Engle and Robin Ryder with times of about 16:30. Vicki
Copeland once again led the Pacer women with a time of 23:35 which
gave her the Grandmaster award. Some other Pacers spotted in
the 800-900 entrants were Steve Ulery, Becky Ryder, Tony and
Robert Mozingo, Jerry Worley, Amy, Jerry, Jay Keywood,
Bob Clark, Dave Beckett and Jeff Hathorn.
If I've omitted any
others who ran, it is either because I didn't see you or you
haven't paid your dues for the year and I'm assuming you don't want to
be a member and support our wonderful running club.
And, I was so busy running such a great race and socializing before
and after, I did not take any pictures.
