10th Anniversary & Founder’s Day Celebration  September 4, 2010

The Longleaf Trace will host and celebrate its 10th Anniversary on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Gateway-Hattiesburg.  The celebration occasion will also recognize and honor those founders whose efforts led to the Longleaf Trace becoming a reality.

There will be an assortment of events for bikers, bladers, runners, both young and old, athlete and impaired, throughout the morning hours with activities for kids also. All participants will receive a free commemorative t-shirt and drink/food (hot dogs, etc.) There will also be drawings for associated merchandise.

Local biking and running clubs will host events for participants from throughout the state. The Jerry Ryan Memorial Ride will be hosted by the Friends of the Trace.

The events will conclude with the honoring of those founders whose vision became a reality with the Longleaf Trace.

There will be plenty of parking, as the University of Southern Mississippi will allow their parking lot adjacent to the gateway to be used exclusively for the event.
